I have never been so sore in my life.
Yesterday was my first day working out with a personal trainer and boy, they do not play around!
If you remember, one of my New Year’s Resolutions is to lose weight and even though I didn’t start in January, I’m not giving up.
This was the longest and the most poductive hour of my life.
It all started with a 10 minute walk on the treadmill.
(For me, this was a small challenge. I weigh 330 lbs. I’m 5’2. I’ve always been a slow walker. Blame it on my short legs, I guess.)
Next was the workout with one of the personal trainers, named Marcus.
All of the excercises he had me do were in 20 second intervals.
I did squats, mid-squats, squats with weights, lunges with weights, core excercises, sit ups with weights, the weird excercise with the rope lol…
I don’t know the name of all the fancy excercises I did, but I know it hurts.
Sad thing is I’m not quite sure if I should be hurting this badly.
Did I push myself way too far? Or is this part of the process?
I have been sore for about 3 days now.
Anyway…I go back to the gym to train with Marcus tomorrow. I’m not giving up….no matter the cost, nor the challenge.
By the way, my personal training does cost a lot. I’m talking $180 a month. If you read my blog, you know I’m a broke 23 year old.
I can afford a $180 a month gym membership because not only am I obese, diabetes runs in my family. My mom has it, my dad had it, both my grandmas had it, and my great grandma!….I mean diabetes is just in my destiny, if I don’t change.
I’ll be updating everyone every time something new happens.
Wish me luck.
